Is it better to select a Venue and get their package, or would it be better to just rent the Venue and put your own vendors in place? A question every bride has asked herself when Venue shopping. So here is what I will say. Unless there are friends or family members offering to provide a wedding service for free, most of the time, the Venue has established pricing structures with their vendors that will be more attractive to clients, as well as knowing the performance and quality of the vendors they work with on a regular basis. Teamwork is really what it takes to pull off a successful event, and the best way to guarantee flawless execution, is to know what to expect from Vendors. So, not only will clients get a better price on the overall package, but the fact that the Team comes together often and works well together, clients will have peace of mind knowing that whatever comes up on the day, and something always does, the Team in place knows just what to do and how to handle the situation to avoid disaster. So my advice, look at the big picture and the Team that comes together for repeated performances and you will see an epic event!

See you all on June 16th!
As we get closer to the Open House date of June 16, things are coming together! So many details to finish, and construction is still underway, but things are taking shape and moving forward. The bedding plants will be going in as soon as the rain stops. Chairs and tables are next, now that we can begin the construction clean up from the main part of the barn. The final concrete pour will be tomorrow, and then picnic tables and patio furniture. A special thank you to Brandy, our onsite caretaker, she is doing a fabulous job keeping an eye on things and keeping up with the daily maintenance. Next up, plan an Open House!
It looks simple enough......take an old barn, on a beautiful piece of property, beside a creek, at the base of the Foothills Parkway, in the very heart of the Great Smoky Mountains, and decide to have some events and weddings with family, friends, and future friends. Creating a place to share our mountain heritage, experience for the day a simpler life and time, more rustic than elegant, cooled by the breeze off the creek instead of refrigerated air, yeah, it sounds simple enough.
The reality of the project has been far from simple. As this incredible place takes shape as a premier location for Smoky Mountain Weddings, the enormity of the project is almost complete. Soon the saws, and nail guns, ladders, and lumber will be replaced with fairy lights, tables, country accent pieces, flowers and fabric.
